Australian Agricultural Training was created in 2016 by Phillip Ward and John Dwyer. Their vision was to develop a training provider that focused on quality education while placing the student at the centre, recognising that a one size fits all approach to education doesn't suite all individuals and their goals. They envisaged a business that worked within the industry understanding the needs of employers and students.

In June of 2025 Phillip Ward retired and John Dwyer assumed the role of Managing Director.
